Q: How does the scheme ensure that my funds are not mismanaged or squandered ?
A: The Pension Reform Act, 2004 correctly spells out operational independence of the Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) from the Pension Fund Custodian (PFC) .The PFA invests and manages the funds while the PFC has custody of the funds. The National Pension Commission (PenCom) strictly and effectively supervises and regulates the pension funds and all operators involved in the management and custody of pension funds.
